During Your Move

Decide what you will pack in the moving box. Packing similar items in each box will make labeling easier.
Label each box on the top and sides, indicating what contents are in the box (e.g., utensils, books, or sheets).
Also label each box with what room it belongs in, so the movers know where to place it in your new home (e.g., if the box contains dishes, mark it as "kitchen"). This will simplify unpacking since you won’t have to move items from one room to another after unloading. -
Typically, no. Just remove anything valuable or spillable. Long answer, it depends. Furniture items made with real, solid wood are much stronger than their particle board alternatives. Solid wood dressers do not need to be emptied. We can move these items whole, and filled, saving you valuable packing and unpacking time. Pressed board or particle board furniture is attractive because it is cheaper, but it is not meant to move and the added weight of clothing, items, or other belonging can stress the already weak joins and cause breakage.
-
For heavy-duty, metal filing cabinets, no. For wood or any other type of filing cabinet, yet. Heavy duty metal cabinets can handle the added weight of the files, but wood and other cabinets typically cannot and may break.
